Congestion caused by temporary traffic management schemes at Pok Fu Lam Road and Sassoon Road 薄扶林道及沙宣道交通擠塞 - 臨時交通管制措施

​We are receiving an increasing number of complaints from residents and public transport operators over traffic congestion and travel time along Sassoon Road and Pok Fu Lam Road near Belchers. The cause appears to be the temporary traffic schemes operated by the electricity company. We have contacted them and they responded promptly: 

1. For the works at Pok Fu Lam Road near Belchers, operations will be shifted from the busy northbound lane towards Hill Road, to the less busy southbound lane (Aberdeen bound).
   
   
2. For the works at the top of Sassoon Road, they will improve the “stop go” arrangement and review the operation hours to minimise traffic impact. 

早前我們收到多名居民及公共交通工具營運商投訴薄扶林道近寶翠園及沙宣道交通嚴重擠塞 ，原因為香港電燈公司於該路段進行工程而將兩線收為一線。我們已聯絡電燈公司，他們迅速回應。以下是新措施：

1. 薄扶林道近寶翠園的一段，他們會於交通流較低的南行線（香港仔方向）進行掘路及封路，而非早前引致交通嚴重擠塞的北行線（山道方向）。  
   
2. 至於沙宣道頂的工程，他們會改善「波板糖」的運作及檢視運作時段，以減低對交通的影響。
