Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD) captured seven wild boars (1 big, 6 small) near 8 Sassoon Road last Thursday night (22 Sep 2022). Under their new policy, if boars are skittish and do not cause a nuisance, AFCD will not capture them. Boars which cause a nuisance freely roaming urban areas unafraid of humans, they will be killed. There is no longer a relocation programme. Therefore, do not feed the boars. You do more harm than good. Remove food sources when you see them.
