In the morning of 12 June 2023, the street cleaner of the Binsey area, Ms Lau (柳女士), was knocked over by a truck whilst sweeping Consort Rise. Click here for the news report. The accident is still under investigation. We do understand that the truck did not have a permit to enter the area (restricted to vehicles under 5.5 tonnes).
As of today, she has yet to regain consciousness. She has undergone two surgeries and remains in ICU. Her family is waiting for her to wake up. Residents have contacted us offering assistance for her family. We have conveyed the heartwarming messages. Ms Lau’s husband is grateful with the support shown. He recounted that she has been working at Bisney Road/ Consort Rise area for over 30 years. We will keep residents informed on her progress and how we can help.
上星期一早上，食環署的外判街道清潔工人柳女士在金粟街掃地期間，被駛至的泥頭車撞倒（新聞連結）。案件由港島交通意外調查隊跟進。此路段設有5.5公噸的重量限制，據了解，該輛泥頭車未持有許可證。
意外後，醫生為柳女士進行了兩次手術。她目前還在深切治療部，至今仍未蘇醒。多名居民聯絡我們，希望能夠向柳女士及其家人提供協助。我們已經轉達這些信息給柳女士的丈夫，他對街坊們的關心和慰問表示非常感激。交談中，他提及太太已經在碧荔道和金粟街附近進行掃街工作超過三十年了。我們會再向大家匯報柳女士的情況及如何提供協助。
