Bus 33X - new evening departures from Sai Wan Ho to Cyberport 巴士33X增設傍晚回程服務（西灣河前往數碼港）

The new evening return bus service of 33X will start from 25 September 2023. The bus will depart from Sai Wan Ho at 5:55pm and 6:15pm on weekdays. The service runs via the Central-Wanchai Bypass to reach Cyberport. Pokfulam residents who work in Island East may consider making use of this service to return home. Bus 30X to extend to Admiralty 30X巴士延長至金鐘

Details

Transport Department has published the Bus Route Planning Programme for Southern District 2022-2023, its annual review of bus routes. They propose extending bus 30X to run between Cyberport and Admiralty. Click here for the paper on 30X and here on the full paper on bus routes in the Southern District. One double decker bus would be added to keep the existing headway at 15-20 minutes. The new full fare would be $8.2 but for passengers going to/getting off at Central, the fare would remain at $7.7 if you use the same octopus card when alighting the bus. The stop at Exchange Square will be replaced by the stops at Connaught Place outside the general post office or Connaught Road Central outside Statue Square depending on the bound. The target implementation date would be the third quarter of 2022. Feel free to give me your comments via [email protected].

Transport Department has approved a fare increase of 50 cents (new full fare $10.40) for minibus 8 and 8X, effective coming Sunday 6 March 2022. The last fare increase was in October 2018 (40 months ago). Click here for official notice.

For 69A, 69X and 69, the fare increase is 80 cents, 90 cents and 90 cents ($6.3 to Aberdeen, $11.5 to Causeway Bay and $12.9 to Quarry Bay), effective coming Sunday 6 March 2022. The last fare adjustment was in July 2019 (31 months ago). Click here for the official notice.

With a video to illustrate how people have to run to the front of minibuses just to find out the route number, we have pushed for number display at the side and back of minibuses in the Legislative Council and the Southern District Council. Good news is that AMS, a large operator in the Southern District, has started to include electronic displays on new buses.

過往數年，我們多次於區議會內外指出小巴車身側面及背面未有展示路線號碼，導致乘客往往需要走到車頭位置確認，極為不便。好消息是南區其中一個主要小巴營辦商進智公交已開始在新購入的小巴車身側面安裝電子顯示屏。

35 years ago, when I first came to Hong Kong, people ran to the front of the minibuses to see its route number. Today, this is still the case. We raised this in 2015 in the District Council and LegCo and again this week. If we can’t be a smart city when it comes to simple things, how can we be smart about bigger issues. We have received promises from Transport Department that they will now fix this, Let’s see.

35年前，我初到香港的時候小巴乘客經常要走到車輛前方看看是哪一條路線。35年後情況沒有改變。我們於2015年的區議會會議及立法會聽證會上要求政府解決此問題，星期一的區議會會議我們再次討論此議題。所謂智慧城市理應能解決這個非常簡單的事宜。運輸署承諾會處理並解決此問題。

33X - from Cyberport to Sai Wan Ho (via Central Wanchai Bypass) 數碼港經中環灣仔繞道往西灣河

The bus departed from Cyberport at 07:45 and passed by Bel-Air a few minutes later. The bus arrived at HKU MTR station at 08:07, North Point Java Road at 08:15, Quarry Bay near Taikoo Place at 08:26, Cityplaza at 08:30 and terminus in Sai Wan Ho at 08:32. Keep in mind that traffic was relatively light today as Easter travel has started. Click here for the service details. Note that this 7:45am departure is a Monday to Friday service (except public holidays).

今早33X巴士正式投入服務，早上7時45分由數碼港開出，數分鐘後途經貝沙灣、8時07分到達港大站、8時15分到達北角渣華道街市、8時26分到達鰂魚涌太古坊附近、8時30分到達太古城中心及8時32分到達尾站西灣河。因部分市民開始放復活節長假期，今日的道路交通相對暢順。請按連結了解33X的路線詳情。請注意此早上7時45分的特別班次只於星期一至五提供服務（公眾假期除外）。

Following consistent complaints over deteriorating services, the Transport Department announced a 2 month trial of a revised schedule for minibus 28:

Increase in service and frequency of 28M
(Baguio Villa <-> HKU MTR station)
Monday to Fridays:
Every 30 minutes from 6.15am to 7:15am
Every 15 minutes from 7:15am to 8:45am
Every 30 minutes from 8:45am to 3:45pm
Every 15 minutes from 3:45pm to 8:30pm

Saturdays:
Every 30 minutes from 9:30am to 2pm
The service of 28S will be suspended.
The regular 28 (and the special departures of the express service via Hill Road flyover Mondays to Saturdays) remains unchanged.

The above changes will take effect on 3 October 2017 (Tuesday). Transport Department will review the patronage at the end of the two months trial period. You may refer to the official notice for details.

由於長期脫班及收到眾多投訴，運輸署宣佈28號小巴由2017年10月3日（星期二）起開始以以下方式營運，試行期為兩個月：

加強28M服務（碧瑤灣<->港大站）
星期一至星期五：
早上6時15分至早上7時15分每30分鐘一班
早上7時15分至早上8時45分每15分鐘一班
早上8時45分至下午3時45分每30分鐘一班
下午3時45分至晚上8時30分每15分鐘一班

星期六：
早上9時30分至下午2時正每30分鐘一班
28S服務將會暫停行駛。
正線28號服務將維持不變，包括星期一至星期六早上經山道天橋出中環的特快班次。

Following our complaint letter in March 2017 the Transport Department has conducted their own surveys and concluded that the service problems are serious. This week, we held a meeting with the operator and Transport Department. The next step is for them to identify solutions which are technically feasible and acceptable to residents in both Pokfulam and Kennedy Road. We have asked them to respond within 2 months.

繼我們三月份去信運輸署投訴28號小巴脫班問題後，署方進行了班次調查確認情況嚴重。今個星期我們與營運商及署方會面跟進。運輸署及營運商正在尋求改善方案，並研究其可行性及方案能否得到薄扶林及堅尼地道居民的支持。我們要求署方兩個月內提出初步方案。

Owing to the consistently poor service and management, we have lodged a complaint with the Transport Department with records of 45 lost trips and 20 buses skipping the Lower Baguio stops. We asked Transport Department to issue a final warning to the operator and to come up with a plan of actions to improve the services.

由於28號小巴服務持續欠佳，我們最近去信運輸署投訴並提供具體數據包括45次脫班及共20班車未有落下碧瑤。我們要求運輸署向營運商發出最後警告及交出改善服務的方案。

Our proposal to move the bus stop at Forbes Street closer to Exit C of Kennedy Town MTR station is being implemented. The tentative effective date is Friday, 29 April 2016. Please see the photo below for the new location.

For this year’s bus route rationalization, the Transport Department and bus operators have proposed to adjust the 30X, 43M, 971 and 3A services. The details are set out in the graphic below.

I will object to service level reductions when these proposals are tabled at the Southern District Council on 5 April 2016. I will also again ask for improvements such as scheduled departure times for 30X from Central.

Please feel free to let me know your views.

運輸署及巴士公司於今年的巴士路線計劃建議修改30X、43M、971及3A的服務或路線，詳情請參考下列照片。

南區區議會將於4月5日討論上述計劃。我會反對縮減巴士服務班次的方案，並會再次提出包括為30X於中環交易廣場定立開出時間表等的改善建議。
