Government’s plan is to use the space for a bus interchange where passengers can change over between different bus routes.
We support this. Bus interchanges at bridges and tunnels have been successfully implemented at the Tseung Kwan O Tunnel, the Tsing Ma Bridge, the Western Harbour Crossing, and other locations.
What else can be done? What can be done better?
Generally, bus stops are ugly, and lack inspiration. Can we do a better design given the proximity of Ocean Park? Will we take the opportunity to improve the outlook of the booth area and tunnel entrance?
In addition to seats and ETA monitors, should there be bollards to protect waiting passengers? Water bottle refill point? Toilets?

香港仔隧道稍後會實施「易通行」,運輸署計劃拆除收費亭並利用所騰出的空間興建巴士轉乘站,以改善乘客等車的環境及讓多條不同路線的巴士能同一時間上落客。
全港有多個大型的巴士轉乘站,包括西隧、將軍澳隧道、青嶼幹線等。
他們的設計都是比較基本及千篇一律。香港仔隧道轉乘站鄰近多個旅遊景點包括海洋公園,我們能否把握這個機會改善隧道口的外觀及設計?
硬件上,除了長凳及實時到站顯示屏外,大家還希望見到什麼設施?防撞矮柱保障候車乘客安全?斟水機?洗手間?
