The Society for the Relief of Disabled Children (SRDC) at Sandy Bay is holding a charity raffle to raise funds in support of diagnostic tests and treatment research for inherited metabolic disorders (IMD). To support this worthy cause of our local charity, please click here. The deadline is 24 September 2023. Each booklet of raffle ticket costs only HK$200, but you may want to do more!

Last week, we asked you to pick your favourite Christmas street banners for 2022. We have received 2350 votes determining the winning 10 from the 26 different designs submitted by residents and schools. Below are the winning designs (in random order) based on your votes and as finalised by the jury. These will be displayed along Victoria Road and Cyberport Road during December 2022.

感謝大家於上星期選出你最喜愛的聖誕街板。居民及學校提交的作品有26份，獲得的總票數為2350票。經評審團確認後，得獎作品共十份，排名不分先後。我們會將得獎作品印成街板，2022年12月懸掛於域多利道及數碼港道。

Charity Collection 2022 慈善大回收

After a two-year Covid hiatus, our Pokfulam Charity Collection filled a record four trucks with items for
The Salvation Army Recycling Programme. Residents are happy to have cleared out for a good cause before the festive season. Many thanks to all involved.

因疫情而停辦了兩年的「薄扶林慈善大回收」，終於在星期六復辦，收到的物資足以載滿四架貨車，屬破記錄之多。感謝各位居民踴躍支持救世軍循環再用計劃。

Pick your favourite X'mas street banners
Last month we called on residents to submit designs for street banners on display during Christmas. We received 26 different designs from families, kids and adults!

Design the christmas street banners 設計聖誕街板

We know, Christmas is still a few months away. But this year, we like to celebrate in style.

We invite families to submit designs for the street banners celebrating “Christmas”.

We will select 10 (ten) designs to be produced as street banners for display at one of the 10 designated locations along Victoria Road and Cyberport Road from mid December 2022 to early January 2023.

距離聖誕節還有數個月，今年我們邀請大家設計聖誕街板。

我們會挑選出十款得獎設計，以街板形式於區內的十個位置（數碼港道及域多利道）懸掛。展示期為2022年12月中至2023年1月初。

How to participate?
You can create an artwork by hand or by computer. Submit your design before 31 October 2022 to [email protected]. Keep in mind the theme: “Christmas”!

Technical details

The street banner dimensions are 3ft (height) x 8ft (width).
The top right corner of the banner should be reserved for printing details, click here for an illustration. We will add the details to the banners before production.
Hand-made artwork should be the same ratio (3:8) and at least 9cm (height) by 24cm (width). Take a photo of your artwork, ideally with sufficient lighting and steady hands or even on a tripod. Email us the high resolution photo.
If you’re creating the artwork digitally, the resolution of file formats such as jpg, pdf, ai or psd should be at least 100dpi for an output of 3ft (height) x 8 ft (width). You may download the AI (CS5) template here: link.
To comply with the regulations for roadside banner display, the artwork must not contain names or logos of other organisations (commercial or otherwise) and must not promote commodities or services.
The design shall not breach the law, and you undertake that the design is created by you and does not breach the copyright of others.
Submission of your design implies that you agree for the organiser to use, exhibit, publish and distribute the design without obtaining further consent, and free of any fees.
The winning designs will be selected by a Jury and their decision is final.
Email the file to [email protected] with the subject ‘Christmas 2022 banner design’. Please provide a contact where we can reach you easily in case of file troubles.
Submission deadline: 31 October 2022, 23:59.
We will print the ten best designs on banners. The location for each banner will be packed at random from the list of designated banner locations - some of these spots face the road and some face the pavement.

為符合街板的相關指引，有關設計不得印有其他機構（不論商業與否）的名字或標誌，並不得宣傳任何商品或收費的服務／活動。
有關設計須遵從本地的法律。設計必須是你本人創作，並不會帶來抄襲或侵犯版權的爭議。
作品一經遞交，即代表參賽者同意其作品被主辦單位擁有使用、展示、刊出及發佈參選作品的權利，主辦單位毋須另行徵得參賽者的同意或支付版權費用。
評審團將會挑選出十款得獎設計，他們的決定為最終決定。
請將檔案電郵到：[email protected] 。電郵主旨請註明「Christmas 2022 banner design」。請提供聯絡方式，以便我們跟進檔案的技術事宜。
遞交作品的截止日期：2022年10月31日晚上11時59分。
