Collection for Charity 2018 慈善大回收

On behalf of The Salvation Army, Les Beatitudes and Hong Kong Society For Health, we thank all residents who supported the charity collection. We delivered 3 trucks full of useful items – 50% more than last year. Note that the collection of elderly items for re-use via Hong Kong Society For Health is available during the year, please feel free to contact them at 2682 6878.

我謹代表救世軍、愛連心及香港健康促進學會感謝參與慈善大回收的居民。我們收到的物資載滿三架貨車，比上年多出五成。香港健康促進學會將繼續收集長者用品，歡迎致電2682 6878與他們聯絡。

Electrical appliances, clothes, bags, books, toys, CDs, DVDs

Your donated goods will be sorted and sold via The Salvation Army Family Stores. The net proceeds will be used for their community programmes. Please make sure clothes are clean and electrical appliances are working. Please note that televisions, computers, printers, scanners and monitors can NOT be accepted as they are subject to the amended Waste Disposal Ordinance.

救世軍會將捐贈物資經分類，於港澳兩地的家品店銷售，收益用於救世軍推行的社區計劃。請確保衣物為清潔完整、電器為性能良好。請注意他們未能接收受管制的電器廢物（「四電一腦」），例如電視機、電腦、列印機、掃描器及顯示器。

領呔及衫鈕 Ties and Buttons

Les Beatitudes is a social enterprise set up to support low income mothers. Donated ties and buttons are used to make handbags which are sold to fund this meaningful operation.

社企「愛連心」的服務對象為香港的基層婦女，她們將回收到的領呔及衫鈕改造成小手袋，務求自力更新之餘亦可兼顧在家中照顧小朋友。

長者用品 Elderly Care Items

Hong Kong Society for Health is a charity organisation formed by a group of physiotherapists, occupational therapists and social workers. They are collecting elderly care items such as walking sticks, rolators, adult diapers, commode chairs, medical beds, hoists, and massage chairs. These will be donated to other elderly in need.

香港健康促進學會是一間由物理治療師、職業治療師及社工成立的慈善機構。他們會將收集到的拐杖、助行架、成人尿片、便椅、醫療床、轉移吊機及按摩椅等轉贈至有需要的長者。

Some 70 residents joined the Mt Davis Walk. We checked out the remnants of HKs military history, and learned what took place here in December 1941 from our guide and local resident, Ronald Taylor.

70多位居民參與摩星嶺導賞團，我們參觀了山上的軍事遺址。於區內居住多年的Ronald Taylor為我們講解香港軍事歷史，並介紹1941年12月所發生的事情。

We collected over 180 bags of clothing, toys, books, CDs, DVDs, electronics, ties, buttons and more for charity. My thanks to the Pokfulam residents, The Salvation Army, Les Beatitudes and Cyberport for the support.

今年我們收到超過180袋舊衣、玩具、書、CDs、DVDs、電器領帶、衫鈕等。非常感謝薄扶林居民、救世軍、愛連心及數碼港的支持。
